AuroraTech Consultants attended the 9th International Airborne Electromagnetics Workshop (AEM2026) in Favignana, Italy, alongside Technical Development Solutions (TDS), whose sponsorship supported the company’s participation. The event brought together international experts to explore advances in airborne electromagnetics and its applications in geoscience and resource management.
Advancing Geophysical Data and Sustainable Water Management
Discussions highlighted developments in drone-based airborne electromagnetic (AEM) surveys, inversion methods and automated data-processing workflows. These technologies offer new opportunities to improve subsurface understanding and address complex challenges in groundwater assessment and sustainable water management.
A key contribution came from featured speaker John Doherty, who presented “Parameterizing a Groundwater Model Using AEM Data: Can the Scale and Physics Gap Be Bridged?” His talk explored challenges in integrating AEM data into hydrogeological modelling.
AuroraTech looks forward to applying emerging methodologies, exchanging expertise and strengthening its contribution to innovative geophysical and hydrogeological solutions.
